Why the Institute of Traditional Medicine and Traditional Knowledge (ITMTK)

The Purpose of the Institute is to further the knowledge and pursuit of Traditional Medicine and to integrate it with the South African health system. The project is multi-disciplinary as we work with traditional healers from the local community, regionally and nationally. The formulation is scientifically validated at VUT or with one of our collaborators.
Clinical trials are done through the volunteered patients of the traditional healers. We then engage with distributors and market the products for sale.

Traditional Medicine Remedies

We develop new product formulations through research and processes of the traditional medicines.
